Will my UC, PIP, LCWRA Payments be affected by me marrying an African lady?
Milton Keynes man here again after remembering another issue. I have sent various emails to MK CAB about benefits etc., but I always get ignored by them so I hope I do better here. Wife died January 2021 after a long illness and I was her main carer. Four years later I am due to get married this year to a Nigerian lady who has a multiple entry visa to the UK but only for a maximum of 6 months for each visit. Home Office has given us permission to get married. Fiancée is very brave, wanting to marry a poor 65 year old man with Parkinson's Disease and even us getting married does not automatically give her the right to permanently live in England so just one more hoop for us to jump through. I guess I have to notify Universal Credit via the Journal of her details once we are married which may change my UC, Housing Benefit, PIP, LCWRA despite her flying back to her home in Nigeria soon after we are married and her not moving to England until her affairs are sorted and her having official permission to remain here? I wont be sending her money and she wont pay any of my bills until she finally settles here.
My grandfather died very many years ago back when tax calculations were done by hand, and he said never upset HMRC or whatever they were called back then, to dispute tax calculations as HMRC will retaliate by sending an even higher tax demand. My mother laughed and did dispute the tax bill, and sure enough a higher tax bill arrived.
So how exactly should I deal with this situation without causing extra problems such as a reduction in benefits?

Being married will not affect your UC. Living together will. When you do eventually live together you will need to report a change on your UC and tell them you're living together. You will then be sent a linking code.
Your partner will then need to start a claim herself and use the linking code to join both claims together.
If she has No Recourse To Public Funds you would not receive any extra money for her and your UC entitlement would remain as a single person.
