Can I just find out what this is about because I was contacted by DWP they said I'm eligible for a 81.50p per week payment but I can't remember what It is called and I just had to sign a form and send it back but how long is this payment supposed to take before you begin to receive it.
Thank you
Ant

£81.50 is the amount for Severe Disability Premium
The DWP will need to process the application before they can start paying you and work out backpay, we don't know from here how long that will take as there are no timescales.

Hello @familycampion 😊Welcome to the Scope online community, how are you doing today?
Congrats on being awarded PIP! Did you get it after your assessment or did you have to go through the MR and tribunal appeal process too?

You will only be entitled to SDP if you currently live alone or treated as living alone. This means no other adults living with you unless they are also claiming a qualifying disability benefit their self such as PIP daily living, DLA mid/high rate care or AA or they are registered blind.
If entitled you must also make sure that no one claims either carers allowance or carers element of UC for looking after you. If they do then the SDP will end.
