I am 67 and currently in receipt of PIP for GAD. I am terrified it will be axed with constant threats of changes to PIP for those of us unfortunate enough to suffer from mental illness as Liz Kendall evidently does not think we need help.

Labour haven't made any announcements of what their plans are. Everything you've seen is what the previous Government were planning. At the moment, there's no changes and everything remains as it is now.

Any changes that may happen in the future will need to go through a very long process before any changes are put into place. They can't just make changes overnight.

I'd advise you to try to stop reading what it is your reading and try to relax.

@poppy123456 Eventhough I agree with you,it’s truly hard to avoid the governments influence when it’s so directly in our faces. It feels impossible to escape. I know many members here, including myself, struggle with significant mental health challenges, and it’s genuinely frightening. Since the government released the Get Britain Working white paper, every brown envelope that arrives at my door and every text from the Jobcentre fills me with a sickening feeling down my spine …

Hi Pearl10, welcome to the community. As Poppy has said we don't know what the government is planning. Most of the time when cuts are mentioned it is by media making insinuations or assumptions.

I know it can be very stressful and concerning when you read all these stories, but many of them are not based on facts.
