    I do understand and know what you mean.

    No disability premiums are paid under UC so eventually two people who migrated from ESA (one with SDP, one without) will be on the same money.

    As to why you'd have to ask whoever drew up the blueprint for UC.

    I understand what you’re saying. When you migrate to UC and it includes TP your benefits are actually frozen until it erodes completely. Once it ends that’s it, there will be no other replacement for the SDP.

    I’m in the same position as you and my ESA includes SDP.

    surprised nobody has made any kind of noise about this to be honest, I would hope they have something else lined up in replacement for it but won’t hold my breath. Thank you both for replies.

    UC by design has no disability premiums payable. So there won't be anything lined up to replace the SDP paid under legacy benefits.

    Universal Credit became live in 2013 so new claimants have never had access to a SDP equivalent either.

    The replacement CB ESA (New Style ESA) also has no premiums payable. Unlike CB ESA which could sometimes be topped up by IR ESA.
