Carers responsibility’s for carers element

does anyone know what the dwp set as requirements for the definition of caring for someone as it’s very vague on the dwp website and doesn’t really explain exactly what they want you to be doing ?

I answered your question on your other thread just a couple of days ago, you can see that here.
Carers element has the same requirements as carers allowance. The only difference is that it doesn't have the earnings limit like carers allowance does.

thank you I read that but apart from providing 35 hours a week that’s fine I just wonderd if they had specific requirements for the care given like do they say you must help them physically or can it be like sitting with them calming them down maybe helping a little with their online shopping things like that

Again, I answered your question in your previous thread. This was my reply..
Caring can include anything from sitting with the person you care for and just talking to them, prompting them, medication, pretty much anything at all. There's no other requirements and they do not check that you specifically care for them for that amount of hours, although many carers provide way more hours of care than that. Even more so if you actually live with that person.
