Hi @Magicalmoon, welcome to the community 😊 Evidence is usually posted to the DWP. Can I ask though, are you currently going through a PIP application or do you already have an award?

Just, if you already have an award a diagnosis by itself does not constitute a need for a change of circumstances or need to provide more evidence. If your conditions are affecting your life more (or less) since an award then that would constitute a change of circumstance and you could then submit the evidence if the DWP decides to review your award.

Also I split this off into it's own discussion to ensure there is no confusion and that you get the answers you need 🙂

hi Jim_Scope I am currently being reviewed, I have been waiting for paperwork from my health officials for new diagnosis, also my gp was contacted by dwp can you tell me why he hasn’t mentioned in the form how my disabilities affect me day to day, in fact I’ve tried to have this conversation with him many many times and I feel the gp not listening to me, he has filled in the form only with what’s wrong with me not how I’m affected is this normal ?

Many GPs do not fully understand what the DWP is asking for, nor do they always have the time to properly fill out the form unfortunately. GPs also do not always know exactly how your conditions affect you, this is not always properly noted down in medical notes and can often be forgotten between visits. I would think your experience is not exactly uncommon unfortunately. It is up to us and people who know us well to describe and explain how our conditions have an affect on our lives.
