Hi, my name is Holly Iddles! Last weekI had my PIP tribunal and I got awarded the standard living...

Hello my name is Holly.
Last weekI had my PIP tribunal and I got awarded the standard living allowance as I was already on the highest rate mobility. It's been a long 26 month battle. So much stress in between. I called today to see how long back pay is as I'm owed 26 months worth of daily living allowance. She asked me the questions then and there. About prison and to confirm my bank details etc. She also said they look at tribunal cases the first week of each month which we are now in. Also she said as I've rung up on this week it will speed up the process. Just wondering if anyone has any idea or been in the same situation about how long their back pay took from this? I've been on and off looking through comments of this group the past few months and it's incredibly helpful so thank you for that.
Many thanks.

I had mine about the same time. I've just been told to wait. Let me know when you get your back pay and letter and if it was worth contacting them:)

I'm not convinced that they only look at Tribunal cases during the first week of each month, we are already on the 2nd week. I think she was making that up as she went.
It can take up to about 8 weeks after a Tribunal win to put the award into payment and pay what is owed. Some wait longer than others.

I don't understand why they lie, it isn't fair especially as I've waited 26 months. Thank you for getting back to me. Fingers crossed it won'tbe the 8 weeks.

They are call centre staff and often tell you what you want to hear. DWP have as much chance as we do to appeal the decision. Before they can do this they need to find the error in law.
They first have to request the statement of reasons and record of proceedings. They sometimes request them but rarely appeal it. If they request them it doesnβt mean they will appeal.

Just be honest and use the evidence you have. And remember its scored if the tasks can be done safely, in good time, to an acceptable standard and effects the task for than 50% off the time. Dont waste time and energy talking about something that happens every now and again. And use real world examples. Not enough time now but a diary is often recommended. Anyone please correct me if im wrong with any of this. Oh and don't be afraid to be vaunerable. Unfortunately they need to hear the embarrassing stuff. Again be honest and they should score correctly based on entitlement and law. And if you dont get what you think your entitled to, enlist the help of local charities like citizens advice. I couldn't have done it without them. They basically told me evidence is key and without it, it's a low chance of success

and people wonder why we don't trust anything the DWP say?

Thank you Deeboop for your reply. We won, my DIL awarded lower rate of both daily and mobility - we weren't asked a single question - they said they didn't need tooβΊοΈ
