I dont know why you are saying I said vaseline could stay on your skin for a month; I quite clearly agreed with you it cant. I said:

"Obviously vaseline alone would not still be causing you issues after all this time though.
I understand your speculation that it could have been contaminated, or became contaminated while on your skin."

What I was pointing out is that you not being able to wash it right off after applying it is fairly normally.

To be clear I do not know if your doctors are correct and there is nothing on your skin, its a possibility those reading your posts have to consider. Im willing to explore the possibility there is something going on with you but bits of your story do not make sense. When you claim its suspicious that vaseline wont wash off after applying that is something thats expected not weird.
You say you applied it several times and only managed to wash it off after using the shampoo after 3-4 weeks. This timeline doesnt really help in establishing if it was weird or not, because if I applied vaseline every day for 3-4 weeks it woud be there when I washed it off with shampoo. So several needs to be defined better and how long since last application also.
You dont explain what happened after the shampoo, presummably as it worked to wash it off you washed all affected areas? So what happened next why is it still an issue?

Im not trying to be insulting I am trying to help.

The fact you ask chatGPT if it is agreeing with you is worrying- if the source is suspect asking it is not really a good test. ChatGPT recently told a man he had murdered his kids so we know it can be extremely suspect at times (that was a BBC article back in March here https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c0kgydkr516o ).

When I suggested you try to bargain with your GP by taking on counselling it was suggested as a way to get back on the GP books by whatever means necessary. I think a counsellor could possibly help you find a way to interact with your GP in a more positive way. They would certainly listen to you about your beliefs about this skin issue and try to find a way forward. Talking to us on Scope is not going to help you get back with a GP and that is what is needed to get anything resolved.

I said it was on the skin for one month. I said that it then came off after a month after using this product. The observation of this thing being there for ten years doesn't align with everything you have ignored.

@slovinton it has been there ten years. It is not vaseline. It was sold as vaseline but compromised NOT vaseline. This is an objective fact. Either listen to it or carry on ignoring what I am saying

You haven't listened to the history. You haven't listened to anything I've said. You've felt compelled to explain to me about something I know significantly better than you how it works. I didn't use ChatGPT to decide what was on my skin was biological. I had several years of it being there to decide this.

It's something new. Something you don't know about. If you start thinking you don't know everything and stop making assumptions about what you think I can imagine for TEN YEARS there might be a productive conversation to be had.

Further to a review, a decision has been taken to close this conversation.

No one here is a medical expert or allowed to give such advice, so although we can't give advice on your condition, we can support with communication with your GP. It may be beneficial to contact PALS or put in a complaint with the NHS service/s.

    Best wishes,

    Holly
