Hi, my name is CA1971!

I had a PIP review last year and got my decision in March last year. Since I got the decision letter I thought that was the end of it.
This morning I unexpectedly received a text message saying that the DWP had received my review letter and would reach a decision in 8 weeks. This was immediately followed by a text saying they had received my review form and I might need to have an assessment.
What does this mean? Has someone reset my review process without my knowledge? I’m very confused and worried by this.

It might just be a technical error.
I'd advise calling PIP and asking them.

thanks Kimmy87. What should I say?

Can I please just check that you definitely received the decision last year and they didn’t just extend your award because the decision hadn’t been made?
The first text you received was it telling you that they received your written report, rather than a review letter? Usually after receiving that report the text will advise that a decision would be up to 8 weeks.

thanks again Kimmy87. I phoned them and you were absolutely right—it was a technical error and I’m not due a review for at least another year. You’ve really helped me thank you x
