Temporary Second Home which will be my main residence

I have a home in England which is going through a sale, I have been temporarily living back home in Northern Ireland with my family due to severe ill health following acute hospitalisation in October, which has left me with severe mobility impairment besides other chronic illnesses. I have found a flat I wish to buy(which would become my main residence due to a need to be close to family for support) & which may be completed on before my home in England sale completes. Does any one know if I would be liable for Stamp Duty, the sale price is £120,000 and indeed would I be liable for CGT. I’ve tried to read up, but the information seems contradictory and some cognitive issues from an acute illness that lead me to return home to family is not helping my understanding. Would really appreciate some suggestions os thoughts, kind regards

Hi @Daithi sorry you've not had a response yet. I wouldn't want to say for sure, as I don't have any legal experience. I've added a link here for the governments website - Stamp Duty Land Tax: Overview - GOV.UK but would also encourage getting some advice from a legal professional.
Would be good to know the outcome though if you're happy to share this as it may help another user in a similar situation in the future 🙂
Best wishes,
