Since 2016 I have had shoulder pain which has gradually increased to where I am taking several painkillers, including tramadol each day. A recent x-Ray shows bone on bone with both shoulders but I have decided not to have any replacement as the time it takes to heal is too much. My son has taken CBD patches fot his knees and suggested I try. beibg sceptical I agreed and was delighted to find that the 70mg patches are superb and remove the pain.

Thanks Rosie. I hope it continues as well as it started with the patches this week and time will tell. My wife has had depression and anxiety for the past 3 years and I have today given her a 30mg patch to try out, but she doesn't feel any different after 6 hours>

Hi @Alex161 - & welcome to the community from me also. I've been using CBD for over 5 years & have also researched its use quite a lot.
With any CBD whether patches or drops, as everyone is different, it can take differing amounts of time to feel it's benefit, so 6 hours in your wife's case is a very short amount of time, so be patient.
Also it's wise to start off with a low dosage to wake up a person's endocannabinoid system & build up slowly.
There's some info here if you scroll down to read under 'How long does it take for cbd patches to work':
I'm a little concerned that you have started using CBD patches of quite a high dosage for yourself as it's best to start off low & increase only if necessary (this would also save you some money) as too high a dosage can also have an adverse affect.
With anxiety, as in your wife's case, it's important to start off with a low dosage so 15mg patches may be better.
As with any CBD, altho with patches this is absorbed through the skin, you should discuss their usage with your pharmacist or GP.

Thanks for the response chiarieds, it's much appreciated.
In reading up about the dose to start with, I thought that with my wife, a 30mg would be good to try out for a few days as she has an appointment with her doctor on Monday and a brief trial may have shown something, We will chat with him and see what his thoughts are.
As for myself, I started with what my son had ('Antidotes@ 75mg THC free) without thinking too hard and in view of the fact that I had been taking strong pain killers. They worked well, with far less pain killers needed, but I did try a 30mg patch on Friday when I received them for my wife and they were noticeably not so good on that day with me as I needed more pain killers later in the day, so I will stick with them for now and also ask the doctor for his opinion next week.
I do hope the patches will show some benefit to my wife eventually, as the medicines she takes dont help as much as they did initially and she needs to take the 'edge' off her daily stress.
Will keep updating when more results know.

I'm still feeling the benefit with my 75mg CBD patches with no THE but my wife with 30mg is not yet getting benefit.
Wonder if there is any research on those with or without the 0.2 the?

Sorry, that (THE) should have been THC free patches and checking particularly about depression and anxiety cases where CBD patches had no THC compared with the max, which I believe is 0.2% in the UK. Do those with THC help in those cases or has this not been researched?
