Yeah I thought that aswell so I will be questioning when I’m at the appointment if I have the nerves

I wouldn't bother personally, as work coaches usually don't know the ins and outs of what can be a complex system.

For the avoidance of doubt, the 1 year TP applies to those migrating from Tax credits and have more than £16,000 in capital. After this time if they still have more than £16,000 in capital their UC will end.

I have a savings account that I have for my dog for any vet bills and I only have £300 in that. I stated that in my claim.

I have an appointment tomorrow to verify my ID. Unfortunately it this has caused me a lot of stress and I ended up self harming and having an emergency doctors appointment. I did let UC know about this but they asked if I could still attend.

They did tell me that the reason it says in my to do list about “we will ring you” it’s from when Covid happened and they no workers was allowed in the office

Capital of less than £6,000 is ignored anyway.

If you can't attend the appointment in person you can ask for a telephone appointment and they should agree to that.

I was in and out in 5 minutes, mate. Very simple.

All I did was show bank card, blue badge, and driving licence.

Thank you that eases my anxiety a bit. What is the next step after if you don’t mind me asking.

On my journal they reassured me I won’t have to attend anymore appointments after his one

Sounds like they are just being unhelpful! A telephone appointment is possible because they can do a biographical appointment to confirm identity and for this they would just ask you questions only you would know the answer to.

Home visits, yes it will take a while for one of those to be arranged.

They didn’t even offer me a biographical one. I gave up in the end because I felt like I was being a burden that’s when my mental health took a dip and I unfortunately self harmed.

The appointment was followed up by a call from someone at the local jobcentre; they informed me that my commitments are to report any change of circumstances on my journal.

Can also any tell me why this says I’m not on ESA SG when it was confirmed today and I have letters proving otherwise or is this a normal change after you ID has been verified by UC

Glad the appointment went ok. That's a standard message put onto your journal. Sometimes (not always) those that are claiming ESA think that all of their claim is Income Related.

Once they claim UC they find out that part of it was contributions based. This part reverts to New Style ESA automatically and payments will continue at a lower rate than what you were previously reaching. The ESA would then be deducted in full from any UC entitlement.

I'm not saying that this is what will happen to you but this is why they put that standard message on your journal.

But shouldn’t the message still say you are receiving ESA rather then I’m not receiving none of them

Ah I see what you mean. In this case it's telling you that you're not claiming any of the benefits listed that would affect your UC, which means it's likely that all of your ESA was Income Related. Once ESA contact them to send your details across they will have information that you were in the Support Group. You've already told them this and put a message onto your journal, which is the correct thing to do.

It can take ESA a few weeks to send your details across for your claim to be updated with the LCWRA details. Once that is done you'll need to agree to your claimant commitments, which will only be to report all changes.
