So what section is it best to put these notes in?
Sorry, I'm easily confused.

The best option now is to send a message under Payment.

Ok. Thanks.

Is that the best option even for requesting reasonable adjustments eg. telephone ID questions if online ID verification fails?
And that's the best place to remind them of my support group status etc? Even tho it's not actually to do with payments?
Or can i put the same messages in multiple sections just incase?

To tell them you're in the Support Group just put a message under payments. You don't need to put it under multiple sections.

I know each LA is different but I assume that under UC I will have to pay more towards my council tax? I assume my council tax reduction will be less when I'm on UC.
0 -
Council Tax reduction isn't something we can advise on because as you correctly stated, all LA's have their own rules.

Fair enough.
Sorry for all my questions. Finding this all v confusing and daunting.

When I advised you previously I was unaware that Scotland operates a national scheme for CTR with each LA having the same rules.
This part of my advice was correct:
Yes you do need to inform your local authority re Council Tax. They will likely ask to see your first statement and will re calculate your award. You do not need to re apply.
Some areas treat UC income differently to legacy benefits and some people have seen an increase in what they need to contribute towards CT.

I'm expecting that I'll have to pay more towards my CT

The bottom one happened to me, I put a note for the work coach who spoke to me in my journal at my local branch and saw me to verify ID as I wasn’t allowed a telephone appointment. Then I put a note Tuesday didn’t get a response until Friday from someone in a different place not anywhere local to me so I assume by what you said that is what happened.
Very hard to talk to someone when your this stage it feels like.

Ricky, why were you denied a telephone ID appointment? This is what I am going to need. Not well enough to travel to the JC and they're supposed to make reasonable adjustments- I am I the Support Group.

All they said in the journal was this:
I think I didn’t advocate for myself well enough as I struggle standing up for myself and I tend to accept what people tell me due to my mental health. I think you will be okay though as long as you do what Kimmy suggested. Just be firm as say that it’s important you have a Phonecall for verifying you ID as you cannot come in person due to your health.

Ok. When I'm first able to access my journal I'll put a note in requesting for reasonable adjustment to be made under the Equality Act 2010. What section is it best to put this in? Payments section as the others suggested?
0 -
I think that would be for the best if we don’t have work coaches. I had someone to respond to me when I put something under work coach which was were my previous image came from but now all my messages get answered by a service centre. So probably best do what you are doing with putting them under payments.
1 -
Ok thank you.
How did your in person ID check go?
0 -
You can put it in either the payment section or work coach. The reason why we advised payment section is as Kimmy advised, questions very often go unanswered when you put them under the work coach section.

Ok, thank you, poppy. I will do that when the time comes. Is the Journal easy to navigate?

I manage my daughter's UC claim and have never had any issues. Yes, it's easy once you get the hang of it. Once your claim is up and running there shouldn't be any issues at all.
