Hi, my name is Iamme! I wonder can anyone advise. Im on Enhanced PIP for my Mental Health...

I wonder can anyone advise. Im on Enhanced PIP for my Mental Health. I had a breakdown Section 3 nearly died while on it 2 years in. I was too unwell really and didn't update them. My fault. When I came out I spoke with Dial House a Charity who advised and arranged my Carer. Had him 2 years. After 4 years on the review my Mental Health atrocious I could hardly speak they filled the form in as best as they could. Pip rang a week after getting my form. They invited me in for an Accessment at I think A Drug recovery place to discuss my PIP and I think it was drug recovery she said. I was baffled said " I'm surprised really as I don't have a drug problem. I don't know where it is I would need my carer bring me. I wouldn't be able get there. Can't go on own anywhere it would be an unknown journey. I cant plan and have no sense of direction or would end up frustration in tears. Could not cope. 2 weeks later They awarded me enhancement Mental health by 1 point and no mobility. I get my carer as I need him and the rate is enhancement. If I lose his help I lose my whole life really. ( this Sept 2023I went back Dial House they happy to back me at appeal and support through a Tribunal. My Mum wasn't well, I was too scared as I thought if they lowerd my rate they could take my carer. I have Severe ADHD Deep Depressive Disorder Diagnosed. Was on a section 3 for 5 months nearly died. I will never get better. My carer takes me everywhere or a friend does. Can any of you lovely people advise. I am kicking myself as I know I need the help having to pay friends to help. It taking all my money. I feel like they threw Enhanced with no accessment at me. I was scared of a Tribunal as the charity advised that is proper where it would go. I'm terrified of them. I would need alot of support to do it. Review 2026 how do I prove all this I need mobility to help me live. Now my Mum has died I am even worse. Can anyone advise?

Hi @lamme and welcome to the community!
I'm so sorry to hear about your struggles and the loss of your mother. It completely understandable that you're feeling overwhelmed and scared, it sounds you've been through a lot.
It may be helpful to start gathering evidence now to support your PIP claim and show that you have enhanced mobility and care needs. A detailed letter from your carer is very useful so if its possible, have them write a letter specifically stating what tasks they do for you, how often, and why you can't do them yourself. They should focus on the impact on your daily life if you didn't have their support. Quantify things where possible such as "I take your name here to Tesco twice a week because he becomes overwhelmed and disoriented in public places" and really focus on your mobility needs.
It is also useful to include any medical evidence you have. This can be letters from your GP or psychiatrist mentioning your diagnoses, the severity of them and how they impact your ability to function independently - especially about mobility.
It is also worth asking Dial House to write you a supporting letter detailing the support they have given you as sometimes professional opinions can carry weight in pip assessments depending on the assessor. As you mentioned you’re paying friends for help then it’s good to begin keeping records of these payments as this shows that you need support and are willing to pay for it.
Hope this was helpful, please reach out if you would further support or have more questions😀
