Hi, my name is 9778! Worried about whether to return to work after operation

Hi am recently recovering from a stay in hospital after a diabetic foot ulcer which left me having surgery to remove my fourth toe on my right foot this has given me some difficulties and am unsure if I should return to my job as a support worker or look for a different job possibly in an office where I am not on my feet too much I really am worried I will have difficulty do the thing need of this tool.

    Hi @9778, welcome to the community. I hope you're recovering okay after your hospital stay. It can be a really big decision whether to go back to work or not.

    Do you feel your job would support you should you need adaptations?

    Thank you for you helpful reply. Hope they can support me but during the time before my surgery and after the advice given by the doctors and surgeon given the type role a support worker dose their advice was to consider an office based job. But I fear this will require me to gain new skills and take time. And the company I work for has no vaccine for those with none of these skills. And for my mental state and financial issues I need to work.
