Care Allowance and LCWRA if joint applicant

I have joint universal credit with husband and receive LCWRA due to my husband limited capabity to work and disability. I also look after my husband for more than 35 hours and wanted to check if my overall universal credit increases if i applied for care allowance? thanks for your help.

If you claim Carers Allowance there is no financial gain, because it will be deducted in full from your UC award.
In whose name is the LCWRA element?
Does your husband receive any of the below:
Attendance Allowance
Constant Attendance Allowance
the middle or highest rate of the care cmponent of Disability Living Allowance
the standard or enhanced rate of the daily living component of Personal Independence Payment
Armed Forces Independence Payment
the standard or enhanced rate of the daily living component of Adult Disability Payment

Thanks so much for the response.
LCWRA is in my husband name who receive middle rate of the care component of DLA.
Based on your answer, it seems we are no better off if care allowance applied so i can just ignore it.
thanks.

If you don't get it already, you can claim Carers Element under UC, this is £198.31 a month.
This would be in your name, caring for husband.
