Pip assessment to decision

Evening everyone,
So I recently had my change of circumstances assessment telephone call, I was in receipt of pip at standard rate for both elements. I'm just wondering if anyone knows the approximate time for assessors report to making a decision.
I'm pretty sure they can't take my award away, but you always have that worry.

I'm not sure about how long it takes as I've not been in this situation. But in terms of taking your award away, they absolutely can, although I'm pretty sure only in rare cases, but a change of circumstances can definitely change your eligibility for your award, whether that be an increase or a decrease.
As long as your situation/condition hasn't improved to to the extent that you would score less points then I'm sure you're all good.

Timescales for a decision following an assessment are anything up to 12 weeks.
You can ring PIP and ask for a copy of the assessment report, if they themselves have it you will be sent a copy.
Unfortunately people have had reviews and then ended up with no award.
You can appeal that if it happens to you.

Both Comments are correct, since as a change of circumstances suggests that there is a change from the original form.
It could come from a Change of medication where the ballance was not quite right and the after affects don't warrent the gains, or because of an operation, whether are a quick fix so to speak, or pending further treatment.
Either way, be yourself, answer the questions as truthflly as you can and as suggested for what ever reason you can still querry the decision with an Mandatory Reconsideration.

I have completed the form & had the assessment so no worries when it comes to that just wondered if anyone had a rough idea of the time between the assessment & the final decision being made, but it appears it's the old saying how long is a piece of string. So I will be patient &wait

I submitted a PIP award review in September 2024 when my circumstances changed, it took approximately four months to receive a decision. In the award letter, they stated that they could not increase the rate until I had met the disability conditions for three months. As a result, I only received back pay for a few weeks rather than from the date I initially reported the change. I also had to redo the interview. Hopefully this helps.😊All the best

If that is the case then in explaining that they would have to also state why, not just make that statement since they need to have supplied supporting evidence?
Yours is on headed paper or in the form filling where it has been signed and dated, their decision, as I do not know the details of why, must also be of the same quality, and if it affects your finances then need to show their expertise in doing so.
A financial assessor cannot over write a Doctors statement that shows this was or is a pre-existing condition and remained unassessed by your doctor, hence the need for any reviews which can come from elevated blood markers or drops in markers below the recommended levels and could have been undiagnosed Cancer. Ovarian Cancer being one that many women do not have tests for unless they suffer "symptoms" like heavy blood loss during periods, and need a check up to see what is going on.
We are all adults on here, or have carers for children who need to ask questions if in doubt. Many topics are discussed here including womens problems and even Sexual Help for Disabled, before, during and after teratment. SCOPE do not know of "Taboo" subjects as they all affect people ("not only disabled or neurodiversant") in different way.
I am sure that ADMIN will help give the right direction to any questions asked so please do ask if in doubt.
