hi all, just put a claim in for new style esa. I currently get PIP for bipolar as well as anxiety depression ptsd.
is the esa assesment the same? I struggle leaving the house unless absolutely necessary. I have told them this and was assured it can be done over the phone or video link.
I’ve also seen I need to get my employer to fill in an SSP1 form. Do I need to ask them to do this or is it automatically done? My SSP runs out march 4th. My claim for esa starts 5th march. Do I get paid 2 weeks after 5th of march or have to do the 7 waiting days? I’m so confused by it all and I’m finding it overwhelming. I don’t even know if I’ve done this right at all. My mental and physical health means I cannot return to work at all I’m not on a stable dose of meds at the moment. It would be a risk to me and others as my moods are so up and down. I’m not getting anywhere with work or DWP regarding any of this! Work keep asking if I’m handing in my notice. I’ve asked for all my hol pay as I’ve used all 28 weeks of SSP. they responded with “are you handing in your notice” I’ve told them I’ve used all sick pay and can’t return due to ill health. I’ve asked for them to medically retire me. My heads all scrambled from it I don’t know what I’m doing. Help!
Thankyou for reading x
