Repair companies

Hi everyone,
I find myself onthis forum because I have been swindled by wheelchair companies fordecades. From my experience, it has been impossible to find acompany that doesn’t charge hugely inflated prices for theirservices, and basically lie about work that needs to be done, to getas much money as possible.
I live in North London, in the South Islington area, and I wonder if anyone knows of an honest companythat maintains and repairs wheelchairs and mobility scooters, andcaters for people who live in this area. I would be very grateful ifanyone can help me find such a repair centre.

@LauraJanes I live in Islington, close to The City. I met a guy on Aldersgate who highly recommended Mobility Scooters London and gave me their business card. Some months later my mobility scooter broke down and I gave them a call. In my opinion, they are first rate. Call them on 07465 687 700 and see what they can do for you. Their web site isn't up to much, but I will try and provide a link. Meanwhile, I wish you well in finding a company that suits you.

Hi Steve, thank you very much for taking the time to write to me all this information. I’ll write to you again next week, as I have a clinic appointment coming up tomorrow and I’m feeling a bit tired preparing for that. I reallydo appreciate that you sent me this information, as our trying to help each other is the only way forward with this issue. We have at home one mobility scooter, two electric wheelchairs and a couple of manual ones. I’ll keep in touch about this and let you know soon. Best, Laura

Hi again, it has taken me a bit of time to get back to you because I've started to develop some health conditions and I'm having to go to hospital for several tests. My daughter tells me that we have used Mobility Scooters London in the past and that they were good. She said that the only reason she hasn’t used them lately is because they have been fully booked whenever she has needed them. So she started using a different company that has been quite dishonest. We will definitely go back to MobilityScooters London next time we need a service. Ihope you are keeping well. Take care, Laura
