Universal credit review pls help

I'm going through the universal credit review and it's going to be a nightmare
I separated 4 years ago . Moved out of the marital home and live in rented accommodation.
I'm in the process of supplying bank statements
One bank account is in my name and my uni credit goes in to it. The other bank account is an old joint bank account that I had with the ex. I'm still named on it. She still uses it. She transfers money from her sole account in to it to pay her mortgage, bills etc.
I simply forgot to take my name off the account
My son occasionally contacts me and ask me to put some cash in if it looks like it will go overdrawn.
I have not had contact or spoken with my ex since we separated.
Any help in this matter would be much appreciated

The best thing you can do is explain your bank account circumstances to UC, as you have done here.
They will see the transfers from your main account and ask about it, so it's best to be upfront.

I've been searching for any information about it and as I've put cash in the account universal credit will treat 50% of any money in the account mine
Is this correct?

after 4 years why would you be giving your ex wife money in the first place

The default position is that the money would be split 50/50 between the two people. But it's then up to you to prove that it isn't your money. That should be fairly easy in this case as you haven't taken any money out of it for years, they will see that on bank statements.
Also, if it's often heading towards the overdraft, I'm guessing there's not much capital in there anyway? As long as your account plus that account is well below £6k then there wouldn't have been any capital deductions so no overpayments either.
