Lost money after being awarded LCWRA

Please advise. Thanks im advance.
I've a son 30 who lives with me and im his carer he has complex needs and non verbal disorder i and he is on U.C. and pip.
Ive just been assesed by uc and theyve agreed im lcw.
i claim carers for him and my UC has reduced by £200 if i inform carers of my new lcw will i lose the carers premium and will my new entitlement to lcw increase to even out what im entitled to
Or will i lose out premium wise ?

From the amount you've lost, am I correct in thinking you previously Carers Element under UC, plus Transitional Protection, and were then awarded LCWRA?

Hiya Kimmy forgive my ignorance and thank you for your reply.
I was receiving Carers allowance while on UC and before I was awarded LCWRA I dont know what transitional protection is, nothing was mentioned regarding that on any notification information that I had received todate.

If you receive Transitional Protection it will be listed on one of your previous payment statements.
Carers Allowance is a separate benefit to UC, do you have a deduction monthly of £353?
Carers Element is part of Universal Credit, £198.31.
Because you mentioned being £200 worse off I suspect I know what the issue is.
If I'm right, after reviewing an older payment statement, please look at this thread:

All this is so very confusing 😕. I was awarded lcwra in January. I had tp and carers element on my award both of these have now been taken away and now uc are saying I've had a over payments for 2 months of 171 pound something like that. What should I do

As it's a complex issue I would contact a local welfare rights organisation, making sure they are up to speed on the Upper Tribunal judgement
