Pip review didnt go well

I had my pip review assesment in January this year, recieved my descion in February, Which confirmed my fears that i had lost my pip award. I was originally awarded pip after going through tribunal and was awarded standard daily living and enhanced mobility, this all took nearly 2 years from first applying. So now im in the same position again, i have asked for a mandatory reconsideration which i sent in my own letter and posted it recorded which has now been looged as of last week, was told it will take up to 15 weeks to hear anything back from DWP. I have mamaged to extend my motability car for a further 8 weeks while this process is happening, but im left with a descision to make as after reading different posts and from personal experience i knows there is only a small percentage of claims that dwp overturn the descion on and knowing the possibly the DWP will not change there mind and i will lose my motabilty car which is used on a daily basis and an aid for me. Do i wait out the 15 weeks in the off change the decsion will go in my favor or do i buy a car, i should add im not well of at all and most likely cant afford a car but im asking if anyone has been in this situation and has any advice for me? i dont want to make the wrong choice. i know i can go through tribunal which i will definatley do, but i also know its a long road and my pip will only be reinstated if im sucessfull. I just dont know if buying a car is a good option or not but if or when i lose my motability one that is when i will struggle more, a it is used for appointments, shopping and getting me from a to b which isnt far, but without the car i couldnt do any of that. Appologises for the long post. But any help would be very appriciated.

Hi @Beanie88 I'm really sorry to read about your PIP decision but pleased you've decided to fight it again, although appreciate the extra stress this will likely add!
As far as the Motability, only you can make that decision but it would seem a shame for you to potentially miss out on that support. Is there a family member or friend who could step temporarily to support you if you did hold out and you were to need them?
Hopefully someone who's been through something similar will see this and add their advice. Please keep us updated if you're happy to.
Best wishes,

@Beanie88 I am so sorry you are going through this, it is so so stressful and overwhelming isn’t it.
This happened to me, I was awarded the same as you in 2021 (standard daily enhanced mobility) after going to tribunal and had my review summer 2024. I lost enhanced mobility and was awarded standard daily and mobility. I did a MR that was upheld and had to return my car on Oct 2024. What mobility did do is the same as you, gave me 8 weeks, then extended it again until a decision.I had to get a car to be able to continue with my life - expensive but I had to. Only you know what is right for you. I too took it to tribunal and they overturned DWPs decision last month (Feb 2025) and I was notified today that the higher rate is back in place for Mobility and a new enhanced rate for Daily (I was surprised but pleased)
I know it’s a pain but weigh up your options and see what works for you. If you do need to give it back and you are able to get another car, maybe use the award to pay it off if you are successful at tribunal. Really hope you are successful in your Mr though.
Best wishes

So sorry to hear this. Ask your doctor for a letter explaining your condition or you can have this done privately. Also ask them if your condition is either the same or worse and there been no change to how they score pip then why now is it being refused again. Your situation has not changed. I wish you well it's a horrible time for you and I pray you receive the good news and support you deserve..
