Severe disability premium

I am new here so apologies if this has been covered before.

I claim Pension Credit and Attendance Allowance. I have seen on other sites that I could claim Severe Disability Allowance to top up the PC. However the government website is a bit confusing. It does mention this but not how to apply for it and on another part it says Disability Premiums are for those under PC age.

In addition to this some advice is that you have to live alone, other advice says you can claim it if you live with someone and they are acclaiming AA or other disability benefit. However to make things more complicated if you are living with someone but are not a couple you probably need specialist advice. Confused. Yes I am! The benefit system in England is a minefield.

I live with my ex partner but we were never married. We share a house but are not a couple, haven’t been for 20 years. We both have health issues which means we can’t really live alone. He claims AA but not PC.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be helpful. I tried calling the Pension Credit line but it kept ringing out
