Carers Allowance and working

hey i currently receive carers allowance 327 every 4 weeks and universal credit 154 every month as I am a carer for my mom with cancer. I recently got accepted to a job. Im confused as how this will affect my benefits. It’s a zero hour contract but the most hours I would work weekly would be 14. It’s 11.55 an hour. So say if I work 14 hours a week it would be about 161 a week. However the cut off for carers is 151. Will this mean my carers allowance will be cancelled or will it work differently due to it being a zero hour contract? I’m not too sure. Also, I will be getting a bus pass out of my own money to get me to and from work which probably cost me about £12-20 a week. Will that be deducted as ‘expenses’? I’m not too sure how this all works as I’m 19 and this is my very first job. Thank you.

I think you would loose the £80 odd pounds a week carers allowance and universal credit, if you earn more than the £151 a week

Be very careful with carer's allowance - i do think the amount you are able to earn is rising in April but it is a "cliff edge" benefit which means even if you earn one PENNY over the allowed amount, your entitlement ceases.
Where your weekly hours change, they do some kind of averaging. No, your bus pass won't be expenses.
Just hold fire for more advice as i am not an expert on this and there are people who know much more than me.
