Hi, my name is swb64! Migration questions.

Hello, just joined. I have been on disability for 15 years, in the ESA support group. I got my migration notice for UC, i filled everything in online, i then get a notice in the journal to attend interview 9.10am in a weeks time. I thought it were a straight forward transfer if in the support group to the LCWRa? The appointment is too early and I really should not have to go as with the esa support group. Im 60 with various things wrong with me which I wont harp on about, i have left various messages in the journal and no one is getting back to me. I mentioned I will phone but I do not like using a phone, im not keen on people as a whole. Im just wondering if anyone can help on here? Please.

Every application to UC is counted as a new claim, even if migrating.
That means everyone has to prove ID.
You can either go in person, request a biographical id check (this is a phone call where you are asked questions about your personal details that only you know the answers to), or request a home visit, but there is a waiting list for the latter and it would delay your first payment.
Hopefully your Journal messages are answered soon and you can get an appointment that suits better.
LCWRA status will be given once ESA send your details to UC. There is supposed to be some automation, but usually it takes a few weeks.

Heya @swb64 welcome to the community.
I can see you've already had the help you'd asked for, but I just wanted to pop in and say a quick hi. 😊0 -
