Hi I'm migrating from esa support group to universal credit I suffer with mental and take anti sycotics and anti depressants.. will I have to explain how my illness affects my daily living or will thay already know this with my esa claim as I find it very stressful explains over again I'm very worried about all this I got my migration letter 2 days ago it's made my mental illness go down ill I'm struggling to eat and keep being sick with the stress of this can you please advise me will it all be straight forward

Hi,

You do not need to go through another work capability assessment when migrating.

Your ESA support group status will automatically change to the equivalent in UC which is LCWRA.

You will be asked to put basic health conditions down on the online form, but do not need to go into detail with them.

It looks like OverlyAnxious has given some great advice here, but I just wanted to pop in and say hi. Sorry to hear this has been affecting your mental health. Do you have support around you? And have you spoken to your GP about this?
