Hi, my name is Keepy! Turned down for PIP. Is it normal for them to lie?

Hi everyone
I had my assessment done on Friday last week and it was the worst of my life. By Monday a decision maker called me saying I was denied PIP. I also received a text after i have already had my assessment. The assessor talks over me, argues me and also in the report he lies right through. He did not ask how my condition affects me and would not give me chance to elaborate and explain my self. He constantly was referencing from where i am not sure and talks over me and move to the next question. I was denied PIP based on been a student and i work. All information were copied and paste in the report. I am so upset, as I have various health issues which one of them been migraines, g6pd, disk degenerative disease. Is this normal for assessors to lie? I also called DWP three times spending hours on the phone as I ask for the phone number of the assessor company (3 times I was given a wrong number by different agents). I persist and called again the fourth time before been given a number that was correct. I called the assessor and complain. I just received my report and all information were incorrect. The assessor was very hard to understand as I keep repeating "what did you say". He also lied that the assessment lasted one hour but it did not. He barely ask me questions which were relevant. I am in constant pain and life is a challenge daily. I do not know where to go from here. I previously applied for PIP three years ago and was turned down but i did not have the strength to challenge so i did not appeal. This time i want to appeal as i feel my struggles and been disable should not be a barrier in life but it is constantly for years now. Can I also ask for my PA4 form for 2022? as the assessor keep referencing that in the new application assessment. Please help.

Hi and a very warm welcome to the community.
I am so sorry to hear about your assessment experience.
Unfortunately it is not unusual for some assessors to be dishonest about claimants.
You are fully entitled to request a copy of your previous pa4 form and any other information they hold on you.
Its called a sars request.

Good afternoon luvpink,
Hi,
Thank you. Yes, I will request for the sars (is this subject access request).
Do you mind giving me the full name of the sars so I know exactly what I am asking them when I call please? It is very stressful applying for PIP and the assessors doesn't seem to know what fairness means. I wish I would have recorded it and also have someone with me. Thanks for replying. Much appreciated.

Hi yes its subject access request.
I'm not very knowledgeable about claiming benefits apart from my own personal experience.
Best thing is for you to post another thread under 'PIP' advise needed.
You will then get the answers you need.
