Hi my name is Jo and I am severely sight impaired and have mobility issue. I am currently seeking work and a part time work from home job would be ideal. I had to give up work as a trained nurse. Any ideas please?

Thanks. I have no idea what sort of job would suit me as I have only ever been a nurse!

Hi @jo300, welcome to the community. Sorry to hear you had to give up work, that must have been tough. I hope you're coping okay so far.

Scope has a page of disability friendly employers that you might like to have a look through:

We also have some employment support services in case you might like some support:

I might be biased as I work for a charity, but I found charities more understanding of health needs when I was searching for jobs. Perhaps there is a health-related charity out there that might need some admin support? Your experience as a nurse could be really useful.

Sometimes it can be good to make a list or chat through with someone what your skills are and what you like doing, that can help narrow things down a little.

I hope you can find something soon 😊

Thanks Rosie for your advice l was helpful. At the age of 53 and sight impaired I fear I am unemployable!
