Hate

Hi I have a diagnosis of bipolar disorder my Thai Sister in Law is essentially a bigot and someone despite being a strict Buddhist someone with a hair trigger temper, which is something of an oxymoron!! When I lived in Thailand for a few years she once threatened me with two big knives, forced me to teach English full time at both a private primary school and then a state secondary school, pried me full of Lorazepram , I didn!t know what it was until I returned home to the UK and got the most awful side affects when I stopped taking the medication, threatened me with hospitalisation even though I was not unwell. On a visit back to the UK I was getting panic attacks and she was shouting at me calling me a schizophrenic. I told her I don"t have to put up with this abuse in the Uk and that her behaviour constituted a hate crime. An officer from Cheshire Constabulary came out to interview her and she started shouting and waving her arms about saying "speak to my husband"
Alas she is now resident in the UK . Last Friday I went round to my brothers house struggling with low mood. My niece must have texted her mother. On Saturday I was back at my brothers along with our sister for lunch when my sister in law launched a verbal assault on me essentially because I have bipolar disorder, she kept taunting me about the police. Later I went down to a hate crime reporting centre and they submitted a form to Cheshire Constabulary. Sadly my hands are tied because I don"t want to alienate my brother.
One further disturbing note, my sister in law trained as a nurse in Thailand and wants to do so over here, she is currently working in a care home. Not a great scenario if she comes into contact with someone with a mental health condition given her mindset.

Hi @Afrigo, we will be sending you an email later so please look out for that. That sounds like a complicated situation, sorry you're having to deal with it all.
Are you feeling safe at the moment? If you feel unsafe at any point please do get in touch with the police to ensure you're not in any danger.

Not a strict Buddhist then,if she likes causing harm to others. She needs to reaccess her beliefs. We believe no harm should be done to any being.
She sounds very dangerous. Please please be careful.
If she is a nurse she must surely know what an impact on your already fragile life she has. I hope you can confide in your brother,he needs to know, and I'm sure he'd be most displeased at the very least at her behavior towards you.
Stay safe.

Thank you Doglover2, it is laughable that she claims to be a strict Buddhist yet has a hair trigger temper. I have been giving her a wide berth and Cheshire Constabulary have logged what happened, I would have taken it further but I need to keep my brother on side.

I would not see her again and meet your brother on his own. She shouldn't be in care. If she still won't leave you alone get a restraining order
