I have been paid off work due to ill health. I'm on CWRA benefit am I entitled to get the council to cut my grass.

You would need to ask your local council if they have a gardening help scheme, and what the criteria are for help.

I should imagine - not if you own the house - most councils are short of funds these days
But if you are willing to pay - its worth asking

It's a council house.. I just pay tent.

Generally tenants are responsible for garden maintenance, whether that's doing the work themselves or getting paid/unpaid help.
Some councils do have a scheme for those unable, as I advised you would need to ask them about it.

I’m in a council house and do my own gardening. My next door neighbour is also a council house and he’s on the council ‘garden maintenance scheme’ so he gets his grass cut for him. But his rent is higher due to this extra charge. A lot of service charges are paid by housing benefit but not on universal credit
