Hi @stephen6405,
It's definitely on many of our minds right now. We're having a big discussion about it, which you can read here: Upcoming changes to benefits.
At the moment, no formal announcements have been made, so no one knows for certain what the changes will be or how they’ll be implemented. However, we're actively campaigning and raising awareness through The Cost of Cuts, and we’d really appreciate your support and signature.
The media isn't always the most helpful, especially at the minute. If you're seeing a lot of articles, I find it helpful to take some time away to do something I enjoy as a distraction. I know sometimes it's easier said than done, but try not to let it get the better of you until we see the official announcements.
Best wishes,

I'm in the same position, living with a progressive neurological condition and dependent on CB ESA, PIP, and interest from savings.

ESA £90.50 and it's £47.70 support group component Zipz. Total - £138.20.

can’t afford to lose 200 pound a month never thought labour would do this hopefully it will not happen

I'm not to sure Zipz. I was wondering if it will be £47.70?

We're not sure yet Danny.

Hi,
Isn’t ’legacy’ ESA income related only?
I am on New Style ESA support group, will these cuts affect NS ESA?
I keep reading about only the legacy element of ESA being talked about, meaning income related ESA.0 -
No. CB ESA is a legacy benefit. People who get this benefit and nothing income related will not be moving to UC. Cuts to LCWRA (Support Group) will hit all ESA claimant's if they come to pass.

@Danny123 yeah, that’s my understanding of it as well. The legacy part is only income related. New Style ESA is a completely different form of ESA to income related AND CB. I know NS is not becoming part of UC as it’s a separate benefit and not means tested.
If anyone can shed light on any potential impact of cuts relating to NS that would be appreciated.0 -
Afternoon all. I hope you don't mind but to keep the community a safe space, we're encouraging all discussions on benefit changes to stay in one place.
For that reason, we’ll be closing this discussion, but we’d love for you to join the main discussion thread here: Upcoming changes to benefits.
Best wishes
