I have been receiving my sons pip and UC for a few years. I am not his appointee, but I dealt with his claim etc and DWP were aware of everything and how unwell he was. I transfer him money weekly (works out just under half) the rest is used for his contributions towards bills, food, clothing etc. Is this ok?

Hi @Luke21, welcome to the community. I hope you'll enjoy your time here 😊
Is there a reason why you don't want to set up an appointeeship to manage his claims? It may be easier to document everything properly that way if that might be an option for you.
I wouldn't like to say anything for certain as I don't have all the details, but as long as the DWP are aware of the reasons his money is paid to you and you can show evidence of his expenses should they ask, it should all be okay.

It would be easier to appoint an appointee. To save any confusion etc
