I was underdiagnosed for 40 years. I missed out on a real education because i couldnt cope being around people. My parents were threatened with endless fines. I spent my teenage years locked away in my bedroom. And as an adult, i have no friends and live alone struggling to even have groceries delivered to my door.

A few years ago, i was finally diagnosed as being very high on the autistic spectrum. I got some extra help with PIP that has made my life a little less unbearable, and now I hear they are going to take it away because autistic people just need help getting a job.

So anyway, I joined because I feel terribly alone and frightened... and having read some posts it feels like this is a warm and friendly community.

ME.

Welcome, I hope you'll feel less alone or frightened coming on here, I've not been here long and it's been a lifeline for me.

I always say to my little dogs 'if you need love, you've come to the right place' (emphasis on 'you'), they love that! 🤣 I think same could be said of here and most definitely, support.

I hope you have a good day despite everything that's going on.

    Thanks everyone so much.

I already feel less alone reading what everyone else is saying and sharing. I could cry tears of joy with how happy it feels being part of something where people understand me and are going through similar things. So much better than laying in bed alone with all my own dark thoughts.

I've been reading the forum for a day or two, but glad I finally found the courage to jump in myself and participate.
