Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask, but can anyone confirm the correct wording for my award (group) please as I'm never sure?
I was originally on incapacity benefit since 2004 and was moved to ESA around 2013 I think and placed in the support group. From 2004 DLA and then pip and an ongoing award for pip given in 2019 and says "will be looked at 2029" enhanced for living and mobility. I remember something about a top up for esa, so can anyone tell from my rates exactly what mine is called, and dont think any of it is CB based?
ESA £159.05 per week
Basic - £90.50
Support group - £47.70
Premium? - £20.85
pip - £184.30 per week
enhanced living - £108.55
enhanced mobility - £75.55
I've not had my migration letter yet, but I dont understand for certain what all different acronyms are.
Thank you.

Your ESA will be Contributions Based with an Income Related top up.
I am certain of this because those that transferred from Incapacity Benefit were moved to CB ESA with an IR top up (if applicable).
Please click "view post" and read through the thread, to understand what will happen when your IR ESA changes to Universal Credit.

Thank you kimmy, but I'm really confused now. I know my post had pre april rates, but I didn't think any part of my claim was CB based? I thought when i do eventually migrate it would be to the means tested lcwra group with tp and no work commitments? Sorry don't really understand what they all mean.

The ESA letters are very difficult to understand.
As you transferred from Incapacity Benefit your ESA is Contributions Based with an Income Related top up.
You are in the Support Group so you will get LCWRA automatically with your UC award.
As detailed in the thread after migration the CB ESA converts automatically into New Style ESA and will be paid fortnightly. Your IR ESA will change to Universal Credit. The NS ESA will be deducted from your UC award.
You will only get Transitional Protection if your UC award is lower than legacy benefits.
As your ESA doesn't include Severe Disability Premium you should be better off on UC, so no TP.
