Housing Benefit, paid every two weeks

I don't know why we have system that pays the landlord every four weeks in arrears and to you directly every two arrears. But we do.

I have just moved into my new place.

The good news - I will receive the maximum allowed for the LHA, but the downside is because it's paid every two weeks on set days, I will be short for the first month rent as they are only paying 11 days to bring it to the next payment. That payment is actually AFTER the rent is due and goes out of my account.

I will always receive the second payment after my rent is actually due.
