Hi my name is Matt and I found myself here searching for information regarding the welfare reforms announcement. I'm 49 and live with my parents, my diagnosis is Paranoid Schizophrenia, for which I recieve Contributions based ESA as well as DLA and Universal Credit. I love computers and video games, outdoors not so much :) My first breakdown was when I was 21 or 22, and working as a network administrator for a video game company in Manchester, following which I found myself in a cycle of taking a job, breaking down, followed by periods of withdrawal, and I guess I am so lucky to have supportive parents so I never needed to be sectioned. Anyway, Hi :)

Hello @matt_nerd12, it's really nice to meet you! I hope you've managed to find the information you were after, we've lots of discussions on the reforms so hopefully you can get involved in something like that.

It’s great to hear you’ve got supportive parents around you, it can made a huge difference.

We've lots of members into computers and gaming, do you have any all-time favourites? What are you playing?

Hi Charlie, thanks for the reply. How the information translates into real world application is still kind of confusing. My biggest question is regarding when Liz Kendall mentioned security for people that are in the LCWRA group, she said that they will have their benefits guaranteed until 2028, but she added that this would be the case if they still qualify, so I'm not sure if she intends to put existing people in the LCWRA group through another assessment process or not? And if so when will that occur?

Regarding gaming, I just installed Linux on my laptop because I've been doing a free course about Cyber Security and I've been experimenting with gaming on that. I have to say, since Valve released the Steam Deck, which is Linux based, compatibility on Linux has improved no end. In terms of my favourite games I would say Cyberpunk, Fallout 4, Skyrim. But the list could go on and on. I also like Playstation games like Call of Duty and Fifa. How about yourself?
