ESA Contributions Support Group and PIP Enhanced both

Hi.

How will all this affect me?

I do have at least four sections 4 points or above on PIP but I am due to be reassessed in 2027. I currently have Enhanced on both. I have a huge list of mental health and physical diagnosis including ones that are lifelong and affect me hugely.

I have support from the CMHT.

Will I lose my ESA Contributions Support group? I have been on it years.

Thank you. I appreciate any replies.

Hi @Bobbles123 bless you, you're not alone with your concerns but remember, the recent announcement is the very initial proposal and there's a lot of processes and opportunities for us to have our say before anything is implemented.

With that being said, you might want to take a look at our Green Paper discussions if you've not already as there's some helpful posts from knowledgeable community members on there.

The Green Paper Discussion - original post now closed but has lots of detail.

Green Paper Discussion (from 24 March, 2025) - new discussion if you'd like to get involved and add a comment/question.

Also, we’d love for you to join Scope in pushing back against these cuts. Here are some of the ways you can get involved:

    Best wishes,

    Hi welcome to the community.

A lot could happen between now and 2027

We will be a little clearer tomorrow after the spring statement is announced.
