First time coming home as an amputee, thought the community would look at me differently and I was wrong on it. Instead, they seen me as a normal person and a lot of them helped me out while I was waiting for my prosthetic legs. If I needed to go somewhere needing something, came over pick me up and get me around. Plus the school I went to honored me during a high school football game knowing I made a sacrifice during my time in Iraq when in the USMC. They won the game and the coach gave me the winning football thanking me for my service. The team, got a picture taken with me as well learning do not take life for granted. The cheerleaders, they knew I was one of them back in high school and getting a picture taken with them too. There was also reunion with the classmates I was on the cheerleading team I was with. Got a hug and saw it was tough for me to lose my left leg below the knee. They also helped me out too when I needed it. My family as well, mom remembers helping me getting to the bathroom in and out. My friends as well and the local American Legion which one was my boyfriend Tommy when we were friends at first.

They wanted to do something back good for me after getting the news I was in a military hospital in Germany after getting shot twice in my lower left leg. I still have the football too and still a Marine for life.

It was even with a local car club, they found about my 1970 Chevelle that needed to be finished up. Picked it up by truck and trailer taking it to one of the member's shops finishing it up for me getting it running
