Hypogonadism

Hi all,
not been on here for a while but want to give people of some scope of my condition.
back in August 2024 I was diagnosed with a testosterone deficiency, really low for my age of 42. Anyway my GP decided he would give me testosterone injections. This lasted for about 2 months, I went to get my injection like I would normally at the end of October, but the nurse refused to give it me because of I only had an injection 2 weeks prior, even though this was agreed with my GP.
My normal GP was in holiday so I seen another GP who said I shouldn’t have been given the injections and stopped them, he also referred me to endocrinologist as urgent. I wasn’t aware that having the injections would suppress my natural testosterone being produced by myself. So with the GP stopping injections I was left for 3 months without anything or any interim treatment until I went to see another GP at my practice at the end of January, in which I had to beg for some because my body hadn’t been producing anything and I was in a bad way.
I seen my endocrinologist at the end of February and he has told me that my GP should have referred me to them right at the beginning when I got my first test results. He also said that because he has given me injections it will take him even longer to investigate why I have a deficiency. He also said because of this I will be on TRT for the rest of my life when it could of been avoided.
I have been really suffering and have been off work since the end of January suffering from anxiety, depression, insomnia, brain fog and not eating properly, it’s got to a point now where I have had to see a mental health nurse and she has regrets to social services to get some extra support.
I can’t believe what is happening, I am 42 and may never be able to work again because of the severity of my condition, it’s looking like I will have to quit my job in which I love. All because my GP never followed the right guidelines.
Anyway thanks for reading and if anyone knows anywhere I can get any extra support that would be great, I am based in Lancashire.

Heya @Snake08 welcome back.
I'm so sorry to hear you've had to quit your job over this, I understand how hard that can be. I've had a quick look online for you and have found a few links for possible support groups, it might be good to talk to people in the same position as you? They may be able to offer some more places to check out? With regard to extra support, have you looked at a benefits calculator?
