house sale
hi everybody , can someone please make something clear to me .. i live with my retired partner, i claim ESA since last july and was placed in the support group.
my question is i own a house with my son 50/50 he has been living there the last 7 years and me here , its now been sold as he really needed to move on with his wife and kids, will this affect my claim. i read it wont, then i read you must say then i read you don't need to say .. my brain hurts as I'm very honest and don't want to do something that will get me in trouble. i am unable to work due to my ill health this is why i was placed on ESA ive worked all my life and took the opportunity to help my son and my future pension pot . thanks in advance for any advice i may be given

You are on New Style ESA.
NS ESA is Contributions Based, and not effected by income (other than pensions) or how much you have on capital.

If you want to inform them that's your choice. But it's not something they'd be interested in because as I advised only a pension income might affect your claim.
