IR ESA to UC

I have to transfer from IR ESA to UC soon. I have read that some people are being reassessed when they migrate to UC. I am also in receipt of SDP & PIP.
I had to ask for proof of ESA a while ago for the old style Warm Home Discount. The letter said my ESA was 'ongoing'. Just wondered what this means & why people being migrated are having to go through WCA again. Was this the govt thinking behind rushing the migration from ESA to UC?!
I have enough problems trying to cope everyday with little support, along with the daily talk of upcoming cuts to disability benefits. The last thing I need is to go through another harrowing reassessment.
I would also like to know what I can do to fight this govt's disgraceful cuts to welfare. I have written to MP but only received a copy & paste reply provided to Labour MPs by the Labour Party. Shameful.

Hi @TK1
A lot of people are wondering what they can do to get involved and it’s important to know that cuts to disability benefits are not inevitable. We’d love for you to join Scope in pushing back against these cuts. Here are some of the ways you can get involved:- Add your name to our petition
- Invite your MP to our parliamentary event
- Respond to the consultation by 30 June 2025.
We also have a longer discussion on the proposed changes members are joining which you can find here: Green Paper Discussion

Hi,
People migrating from ESA to UC aren't generally being reassessed through another WCA.
They are automatically put into the equivalent group. LCWRA is equivalent to the ESA Support Group and is also an ongoing award.
Both ESA Support and LCWRA can be reassessed at any time, it's just that many haven't been for a while due to backlogs. Ongoing simply means there is no set end date, it does not mean they will never be reassessed.
