    Hi everyone,

I wonder if there are any competent crafter/machine-sewers in the community (or members that would learn to sew if it could benefit them financially?)

Do I have a dream too far? I've taken a new approach to beds for cats/dogs (all sizes) that the animal can simply go through the entrance archway to get under a warm duvet/blanket andif they're warm they can simply lie on top.

Conceived initially for tiny dogs with short fur,I realised that I need bigger ones for whippets and greyhounds too.

I am hoping to build a group of home-sewers to make the blankets and cushion covers – cut out fabric delivered by Evri with up to 3 weeks to sew in spare time, payment per item up to£7 and hopefully, with practice 3 items finished in an hour – so£21 per hour.

A white plastic domestic sewing machine would be slower but works alright.

Question for everyone – does it sound a prospect that could work?

All those that are part of the active team would have full transparency of the others, so absolutely no exploitation is possible, quite apart from the fact that the foundation of the project is to bring money and the self-respect that comes from it by contributing to society and helping all those little pets stay warm at night.

The pet-bed is only the first product – if the team expands, there are other things to sew – so everyone could ring the changes and not get bored with constant repetition.

If Scope would like to control the proposal I have no problem - although Charities have restrictions on commercial activity which I may have already breached the rules they must comply with?
