hi regarding the conversation on transition protection and carer element the same thing happened to me I am £200 a month worse off and have money to pay back I put on journal about being advised that it was wrong and they told me that wasn’t way it’s worked out

The information given on that post isn't quite accurate. If you're able to link to it, I will ensure it is updated.

Unfortunately, the way UC was set up would mean that people in this situation are worse off as a result, losing around £200 a month when moving from carer element to LCWRA.

However, this was challenged at an upper tier tribunal towards the end of last year, with the outcome finding in the claimant's favour.
