No moving from ESA to UC does not require a new work capability assessment.

Yes when migrating from esa to UC they require an assessment but depending on your individual situation. Im severely disabled and had to have an over the phone assessment as i couldn't physically attend. I was asked a few questions that was it. Plus they had all my information sent straight to them from ESA so they could see i was on the severely disabled premium. But if your able they send you to a job centre to have an assessment in person. So the last persons comment was incorrect. You will have an assessment but it's not as extensive as your esa assessment because your migrating your esa to uc. Hope that helps i know it sounds and can be very stressful but once it's all sorted it's a massive weight lifted off your shoulders. Hope it all goes smoothly for you 🙏

My advice isn't incorrect, you do not have a work capability assessment when migrating from ESA.

Your phone call was probably an ID check which everybody has to do when migrating, or accepting commitments for either UC or New Style ESA.

Hi Catherine, I'm aware of the basics in the Green Paper and that the Government are trying a back door to force through some of their proposals.

It's not my main focus as I have an awful lot going on in my personal life, so my Scope time is usually spent on benefit queries etc.
