DIABILITY SUN FLOWER LANYARD

Hi Folks
Does anyone wear this?
Do you find it beneficial to wear it?
Are people generally aware of what it means or are you asked a lot of questions?
Thanks

hi there I sometimes wear it and I don't get asked any questions I would recommend that you wear one though as it can have some benefits that you may not be aware off

I've found my little sunflower pin and lanyard very useful @Manjinder I tend to wear my pin badge when I go out with my sister and the lanyard for if I have to brave the outside alone.
A friend wears his when he's in airports and has said the staff are always very understanding and aware of what the lanyard stands for. So they can be worth it, as long as people have been made aware of what they mean. 😊1 -
My niece wears hers ,but only off and on. I must ask her if she's been questioned on it of late. I dont see her very often.

Thanks Folks
I'm just wondering that if I wear it, it may raise more questions from other people rather than getting any assistance from them when I'm outdoors.

Hi Manjinder, Hi Albus,
I was given my lanyard and pin badge when I was working through my works' Disability Network but have never been able to establish where I can get the name / information badge to wear with the lanyard. perhaps, Albus you might be able to assist with where I can get an official 'card' to go on my lanyard?
Manjinder, I have worn mine (but not very often), although when I have particularly when travelling on public transport or areas unfamiliar to me and would become anxious. My experience with wearing the lanyard for travelling has proven to be helpful, as I have found staff at Railway Stations or other public transport has been helpful and positive. My son wears both a wrist band and has his keys attached to his lanyard, so he doesn't forget his keys but also to alert others that he has hidden disabilities. I think that he also has had a non judgemental but more 'helpful' support from shop assistance and others when he is out and about.
I should wear mine more often, unfortunately, I often forget to wear mine for every trip but would encourage anyone to use one if they have it whilst being in either unfamiliar or places where you feel less 'safe'.
However, it has occurred to me that many supermarkets have lanyards and leaflets, I have even seen some staff members wear them, except, I'm not sure just how many staff are fully aware of their use and benefit individuals would receive in time of assistance. I have asked a couple of times at my local supermarket and staff have told me they are aware of the reason people wear them but they don't really know why or how this is supposed to 'help' others wearing them if assistance is required.
Hope this is useful Manjinder. Hopefully, Albus, you might be able to advise me how to get a proper badge to wear with my lanyard as my own efforts have not been successful thus far.
