Hi @Catherine21 I hope the plumber comes early for you so you have less time to sit around waiting. It is the not knowing when they are going to come that gets me.
Fingers crossed it is not as bad as you are thinking it will be. Take care.

I get like this about things too- get really anxious about it- often just cancel stuff. Its weird because for me often when the person is there Im on autopilot and seem ok, but after they have gone Im so jittery I have to sleep before I feel normal again (very occassionally even sleep isnt enough).
I wish I knew how to fix it because for me its getting worse year on year.0 -
Oh i tidyed up thrown everything in cupboards ahhhhhh i keep saying hurry up the dogs like here she goes again

I always leave repairs until they just can’t be ignored anymore too. I have found that a lot of tradesmen now phone or text when they’re on their way which does help a bit with the waiting anxiety

I know what you mean.
I am due to have new fire doors put in my flat soon and I'm flipping dreading the intrusion.
I wish I could tell the housing society to just stuff it but its compulsory due to health and safety.

I hope it's all gone OK @Catherine21 . I hate it when they come then they say just got to go to van for whatever. Then they do it again. I had a workman once and FIVE times he was in and out, in and out like a yoyo! drives me mad ... just bring the flipping tools in the first time, think he was only doing a window blind 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄

@Catherine21 I'm glad it went OK today. Noone comes in my bungalow as I don't know anybody. Next week Weds I've got an energy company man via the council between 1pm and 5pm could be here from 1 to 2 hrs 🙄. My dogs won't be happy. And Mon next week scaffolding being took down so these can't go in the garden. And Tues my consultant phoning me so dreading next week. Am very isolated but don't look forward to this type of visit. I'll have to take some very deep breaths (COPD allowing 🤣). I hope you have a lovely and relaxing evening 😊
