Disbelief

I couldn't believe what I was listening to Liz kendell doing speech in parliament about mental health saying work is good for mental health which I agree with for some people it is ! But wait for it say it's been proven for people with severe MH including schizophrenia!!@ whos liable if someone pushed to limits unbelievable

It's a tough one. I know people always harp on about working gives people purpose and routine and is great for your mental health and for me, it REALLY is the case (My mental health actually gets worse when I'm off work for too long) despite never thinking I'd work again. I think it's worth people trying, even part time. But I know for some it would possibly cause more issues than positives.
People with Schizophrenia can and do work with the right support and accommodations. 😊

It's not easy at all @Catherine21 and as said, some people just can't work. It took me a lot of time, self doubt, frustration, tears and experimentation. It was really tough going for many months, but the more I did it, the easier it got as my brain got used to this new and scary thing. I can now work 4 days a week, with occasional breaks for a week every couple of months, to rest up and get some mental energy back. 😊
It's all about working with the job and your GP, so that you can find something that works for you. But if you can't find something that works for you, then that's ok too. 😊
