Hi,

I'm 60 years old and receiving Universal Credit.

I've started a new part-time job, but the job centre wants me to look for a full-time job ?? Is that correct? Anyone with knowledge?

UC want people to work as many hours as possible, which is why they want you to look for full time work.

Hi @matygrudzien and welcome to the community. 😊 Are you comfortable with what they're proposing? And more importantly, will this impact your health?

    Hi @matygrudzien

UC have the following rules regarding earned income. For a minimum wage job you need to be working about 23 hours a week to get them off your back:

Administrative Earnings Threshold (AET): For individual claimants, the AET is £892 per assessment period, and for couples, it's £1,437. If you earn below the AET, you must show you're actively looking for more or better-paid work and be available for work.
