Are there any on here with sleep apnea ?

If you use a cpap machine how are you getting on with it ?

How about hearing loss how do you cope with that .

I have obstructive sleep apnea and also central sleep apnea , which means my brain doesn't tell me to breath when I stop breathing while sleeping .

I've had hearing loss for at least ten years , but never been diagnosed , the level of hearing loss is described by the audiologist as probably being hard of hearing for a least ten years and probably from birth .

I am getting moulds done on 13th April as the digital hearing aids are not working for me , I lip read and I can also sign a bit too , which I started to learn a few months back . It isn't easy , but I am trying as it really helps me communicate .

thank you for sharing , sorry to hear this , its a horrible condition , i have been through 9 masks , I am currently using two , because i have to change them on nights where i just cannot settle. I have the nasal cushion with hose connected on top of the head , I look like a unicorn lol , then the air fit F40 full mask , the masks are not easy to get used to , for me it is the headgear that dig into my head on the pillow. I've tried lots of different pillows and none help . I know I need to use the machine because I do feel better , but still wake lots of times during the night , my review was last Tuesday and it seems I take the mask off lots of times during the night , that is because I suffer extreme anxiety and panic , it isn't ideal to wear a mask while sleeping and with mental health issues too it is a challenge.

I know what you mean wearing the headgear tight to stop the leaks , if you don't you get sore dry eyes from mask leaks , or the head pain .

The moulds are so the hearing aids can fit in my ears instead of the buds .

Have you tried the F&P SOLO mask, its very limited head gear and you pull the nasal cushion out and in to adjust the seal ?

I tried it but the headgear slips off my head lol , also i hate that some of the headgear will sit right under the eyes and it is really uncomfortable.

I think I did try the fp solo mask that's the one where it's just the nasal one isn't it?

Ah I see what you mean about the earbuds now.

I was thinking I often listen through my earbuds to relaxing sounds through YouTube there's lots of just simple vibrations and water flowing healing etc music that can help drift me off to sleep a little bit of thc also helps..often close my eyes pretend I'm floating in space with my space suit and mask on ofc...

I've heard about a pillow mask recently, I always slept on my front so I tried the fp solo I think but didn't work very well for me and if you sleep on your side it blocks one of the side hoses so air pressure drops.

I use the teardrop shape default mask it's useless for comfort but only one of two I've tried that seems to work.

I've messed around quite a bit with the settings you can access them your self if you hold two buttons down otherwise your left in patient mode .

I set my own pressure that I'm comfortable with normally between 8.5 and 12.5 anything more and I'll float of into space like a balloon lol

I'm just one of those people that has to tinker with stuff though haha

The other day I must have put the machine into a different mode y mistake where the pressure was constant and so high I was getting chest pains next coupk3 of days and realised I'd left it on the wrong setting

Yes agree with chest pains if pressure is too high, I too change the settings , also the hearing moulds will be clear full hearing aids and still connected to bluetooth , so I'll let you know if they are better.

The F&P solo is the nasal mask, but it was not right for me either .
