Awarded after review but shocked at no backdating

So I finally had my review and decision after over 15 months waiting, I was awarded lower rate daily living and higher rate mobility so I'm up on my mobility which I don't agree with but I'm too scared to appeal it.
What I'm shocked at is they only pay you from the review decision date it's absolutely disgusting my previous PIP ran out in August last year and I've been on lower rate since then, luckily I contacted them notifying them of a change & diagnosis of CFS as back in October so I've asked for a MR of the applicable date, I've added a long covering letter explaining how this affects my mobility but this has been like it for 5 years so in my mind I should have been on higher rate mobility for the last three and half years of receiving PIP. I'll also be sending my medical diagnosis letter from my specialist to back up my claim.
What are your thoughts?

Hi @Losingallhope As you had accepted the award you previously received before the review, no backpay would be awarded.
They would expect you to have asked for a MR if you were unhappy with the previous award, but as you did not, they would assume you were happy with it, so there would be no grounds to ask for the backpay to be backdated 3.5 years.

I didn't accept it I had to go to tribunal to get anything initially

What I'm wondering is how likely would it be they will reconsider the start date for my mobility increase they have just given me back to when my circumstances changed that I told them about

I see @Losingallhope Anyone going through a review will only be paid from the review date with no backpay unfortunately. That's just how the review process works.

Yes I'm aware of that but I don't have to agree with it.
My other point was I had a change of circumstance in October I notified them of it so I've requested a MR of the start date of my new mobility award. I've been they will consider that as I had notified them in October, I have medical evidence of it and it directly relates to my mobility issues tbh they should have considered it when making their decision. The whole system is setup to pay people as little as part possible, it's not honest in any way
